frequently asked questions

What is your jewelry made of?

All of our jewelry is made with quality 14k gold filled or .925 solid sterling silver. This allows our pieces to be waterproof, anti-tarnish, and hypoallergenic! The only exception are our flatback earrings, which are implant grade titanium - also waterproof and anti-tarnish!

What is 14k gold filled?

Gold filled is the best! It is made with a layer of gold that is permanently bonded to a base of jewelers brass, making it tarnish resistant and an affordable alternative to solid gold with similar wear benefits. Gold is at least 5% of the items weight and it can last up to 10-15 years of daily wear with proper care.

Gold filled vs. gold plated?

Gold plated is a base of jewelers metal that is dipped into a very thin layer of gold, usually about .05% of the items weight. This causes the piece to wear through that layer in about 2-4 weeks if exposed to daily wear, water, sweat, etc. Something you don’t have to worry about with gold filled out sterling silver!

What is permanent jewelry?

Permanent jewelry is made by welding a small jump ring together on a custom sized chain instead of being secured with a hook or clasp. This allows for hassle free, seamless, and often sentimental pieces! They are all waterproof and anti-tarnish so you don’t have to worry about taking it on and off. We offer bracelets, necklaces, and anklets. We also warranty our permanent jewelry so that as long as you have your chain we provide free fixes or resizing!

Can you make custom jewelry?

Definitely!! If you have an idea or something special in mind, you can always reach out and send your inspo to us. We handmake almost all of our jewelry and have years of experience in making and designing new pieces.

Do you do piercings?

Yes! We provide professional piercings at our City Creek location. We do hollow needle piercing using sterilized single-use, ultra sharp hollow needles to create more precise and low trauma incisions. Compared to piercing guns, hollow needles actually minimize overall pain, swelling, and healing time. All of our piercers are professionally certified in this method. Walk-ins are welcome but we do recommend calling out texting ahead to make sure a piercer is on the clock when you want to come!
